Out of all the creatures in the first SH film the ones I had the hardest time getting by were the Sexy Nurses. (They were designed and performed terrifically though, this isn’t a critique of that aspect.) I mean yeah I get why they were in the film, they’re iconic in the lore like Pyramid Head and I bet if they hadn’t

Atmospherically it was neat, changing to be a mom protag was good, but it was the start of the downward slope effectively. Especially in terms of using Pyramid Head for every fucking thing. It basically cribbed him and the laying figure creature out of SH2 where they had psychological intention behind their design and

I really liked the first movie too, I thought it nailed the vibe. The second one… yeah, fuck that movie.

What I got from the film segment is that “Return” is going to be a pretty direct film adaptation of SH2, hence the remaking of that game to coincide. This is an unpopular opinion in the fandom but I actually like the first SH film, as different as it was from the first game. I know a lot of fans couldn’t get past the

STEEWWWWAAAARRRTTT!!! (you took me back... MadTV)

The scream that just escaped my mouth lol.  You gotta be of a certain age to get this one lol

Next she’ll discover the original brownie glazed lips

Nope , just a bunch of Stewarts pretending that they invented, jumping and running in the air going “Look what I can do!”

If NY is a one-party consent state for recording purposes, I fail to see an actual cause of action by the hospital. It’s also not illegal to announce you do not like your doctor and why. Case in point: Google reviews.

And where else should she find relief given that other local hospitals have blacklisted her? Maybe the medical community should do better and they wouldn’t have to be defensive. Plus this is great as this is spreading the word about a shitty doctor. Potentially saving other women from going through this.

Once they put her on the blacklist, she probably sees that the system is broken. Where do you go next? To the media.

I think her goal is not only finding relief but in sharing the insanity of her attempts to get competent and compassionate care. I certainly didn’t know this was a thing. And I bet a lot of other people didn’t either. Was Tiktok the best place to bring this to public attention? I don’t know. It seems to have worked.

There are many many medications that can cause severe birth defects. Some providers require you prove you are on birth control. Some merely have you sign a waiver. This, as a precedent, is concerning as fuck.

If the doctor’s personal philosophy potentially violated the Hippocratic oath, then she’s well within her rights. Or will you also be clutching pearls about the other patients that posted negative reviews of the same doc as well and telling what they should be doing instead?

Hospitals snitching out on women in pain just to keep them viable for child bearing. Sounds like something out of dystopian movie but this is the future if the GOP/Conservatives/MAGAs/Evangelicals/et al have their way.

That certain users kept concern trolling about “WHERE IS THE MIKE FAHEY ARTICLE” was annoying and completely insensitive. When a loved one dies, your first instinct isn’t to go and immediately write about it. You take the time to gather your thoughts and the thoughts of those closest to the person to make sure you get

to everyone wondering where our post was: this was it. it took a while assembling all the responses from current and former kotaku dot com staffers but all that time gave us the room to honor fahey in the best way we knew how. i didn’t get to work with him long but his personality and wit were infectious. im bummed

Yes. It's still there.

Every time I deal with a spider I think about the copy of Plants vs Zombies that ended up stuck on Fahey’s office ceiling and wonder if it’s still there.

Thank you—and thanks Mike, rest well, you made a lot of people happy. Truly Fahey was the best of us.
