I know she did create it, but with 27 million views she sure helped spread it.

Oh. This kind of article again.

How is it a Perfect Storm?! Girls that show off their boobs on Twitch have been notorious for having it MUCH MUCH easier to make it to Partner in less than a month. Meanwhile people who work their asses off struggle for years to make a name for themselves. They even have their own name, “Boobiestreamer”.

Step 1: Be attractive
Step 2: Don’t be unattractive

...she began streaming in 2017 while studying to be a STEM major, only for her Twitch progress to outpace her work on her degree. Ultimately, after a switch in her studies to business marketing, she decided to put her education on hold and ride the wave of momentum that playing Fortnite had given her channel.

I have no doubt I’ll get shit for this but... why is this even on kotaku?

And then, can “Taint Sunning” be far behind?

Next, she’ll be posting about #Vanlife and doing yoga poses on the beach at sunrise...

She was just another twitch streamer. Now shes just another TikTok thot. who cares?

That’s honestly the gist of the kind of articles Grayson writes here. The subject has unfailingly always been about attractive female streamers, and he’s putting the spotlight on them. While “OK Boomer Girl” blew up on Twitter, Biden went on to win states he didn’t even campaign in with 1/3rd of the funds Bernie raised. And the youth turonout this primary season has been dismal.

A hard lesson in how preening for fake internet points doesn’t actually win you anything in reality.

Except a columnist is hired to do that. These people on TikTok, are, essentially, volunteers...

That stuck out to me as well. That one phrase says A LOT.

she needed to put something up on TikTok that day”

Very long article for what boils down to “men on the internet like attractive women”

Now playing

I was going to say something akin to “the internet was a mistake”.

These articles you guys write on internet seem so disconnected that they come off as cringe. You literally sound like a 50 year old when describing the meaning of “simp”.

“Hot people are more popular than the rest of us”

Attractive person has a viral hit on a social media platform, news at 11.

I dunno, maybe it’s just me, but it seems her rise in popularity may have been attributable to something other than ‘OK Boomer’. YMMV
