I still have scrapbooks from high school filled with things I cut out of Sassy. I miss that magazine and Jane so much—I wish they would come back.

My husband and I had a nice, rational discussion about me immigrating here to Canada, and then we mutually decided marriage was the best course of action. No ring, no fuss, no video.

They are, at least here on the left coast. We’ve had rain, but today was sunny and 50 degrees (10 degrees celcius).

I immigrated here to Vancouver from New Hampshire in 2003, to live with the man who is now my husband. I have a clean criminal record and no children, so applying under the spouse option was the quickest and easiest way for us; I came here on a visitor’s visa in March 2003, and we were married in October 2003. Great. He’s just proposed to Gracie. I hate it when fact outdoes fiction.

Sorry, but I use proper spelling and punctuation, even when texting. I’m just super-exciting and awesome like that.

Eh. I was a Benetton girl myself.

Rejuvenile came out in 2007, and it was way ahead of its time. I highly recommend it.

Dear almost-every-indie-website-for-plus-size-women:

Thanks. I just nearly shot coffee all over my monitor.

Well heck. I need one when I go to ren faires, then. Maybe disguise it as a riding crop. =P

Crouching in EQ2 helps you to not run as far away when you’ve been feared and lost control of your character. Still use it all the time.

I’ve been trying to remember who he reminds me of, and I finally got it.

A few years ago, I went to a ren faire where I was fully corseted, with a large, boufy skirt.

I just saw them live a couple of months ago, and I had seen them live back in ‘97. They still kick a huge amount of ass.

Yup! And you don’t.

I haven’t seen the movie, but when I heard about *that* character, I honestly thought they were riffing on Drexl. I didn’t realise that this Riff Raff guy was an actual person. =P

I would spend my entire day picking at this getup. One of the most uncomfortable looking things ever.

Now playing

Whenever I see this “Riff Raff” guy, all I can think of is Gary Oldman’s character in “True Romance”.
