My story is boring, but here it is: I always wanted to give a fake name to a cashier. They wouldn’t know the difference, and I could have a cool name for a second. However, I have awful social anxiety and totally space out when I’m interacting with humans, so when I finally mustered up the courage to use a fake name

Whenever I get a new cat*, the shelter always does a background check complete with calls to my landlord/rental office/references. I’m assuming they make people jump through hoops to avoid asshats like Mr. Noir’s neighbors. Whoever is letting them adopt a new kitten all the time is fucking up big time. My heart breaks

Excellent gif usage. I am trying so hard not to LOL at work rn.

Want to say something funny but I’m a teacher so I don’t wanna lose my job.

Though “that” is usually used for things, it can be used for people as well, if that’s what you’re asking!

It depends on which part of NJ you’re from. I think “youse” (commonly followed by “guys”) is more common in the north. Many of us just use the plural “you” or “you guys”.

I was assaulted a few times in middle and high school, and I didn’t realize until YEARS later that it was assault. Because the “boys will be boys” mentality is so pervasive in our culture, I thought it was a given that boys will always try to get in girls’pants, and girls will never want it but just have to go along

My takeaway from that scene was “holy shit, Trudy is HOT!” Happiness looks great on Trudy.

I’m still sorting out my feelings about that scene, but I really couldn’t watch Sansa’s face any longer and was a tiny bit relieved when they switched to Theon. It was still so disturbing, but I feel it would have been worse to keep the camera on Sansa. Also maybe they want to show that Theon is having enough of

I had a working mom and an essentially stay at home dad who went to all my school functions. He was the only dad in the PTA. I felt a little weird about it especially when one of my classmates in first grade asked me if my mom was dead. I was like “uh... No. She’s at work.” And this was the 90s! But despite feeling

A very talented bridesmaid did this as her wedding gift.

One of my bridesmaids is an artist and this was her gift to us. Also, congrats!

Well, not physically there, but they were a part of it in cardboard cutout form (and as mentioned in a previous post, cake topper form as well)!

I want you to know I really enjoy your reviews. And shoutout to whoever posted “Up on the Roof” last week in response to your Bronn crush.

Yeah, her face looks really different there! Granted, I think she was like 16 when she did AI.

Diana DeGarmo. She lost against Fantasia in season 2(?). She had a really good voice. And then I stopped watching.

But blonde hair is recessive (I know this is a fictional show where anything is possible — so it could be equally possible that blond hair is recessive like IRL or that it isn’t. Either way, I’m going with the former as this is all speculation anyway). If a blonde and a brunette have a child, that child’s hair is most

Oops, I think I took that word from someone else’s comment. Sorry! I just get really passionate whenever linguistics is brought up outside academia.

This is just what linguists do. I don’t think he was being judgy, just observing. There aren’t many other things for us to do if we’re not fluent in coding languages. (My degree is useless :( )
