I mean, this is a pretty big secret if you haven’t gotten to that point in the game. I feel like this is it and was meant to be a tip off to observant players who know Norse symbols or look them up. It doesn’t have to be a big secret for those that beat the game necessarily.

Were players expecting the secret to immortality? That’s the problem with hype: you’ll always be let down, because your imagination builds far beyond what is reasonable. The developers are humans making a game to make a buck, after all. They’re not reasonably going to hide the meaning of life behind an unsolvable

When Barlog was on Kinda Funny he mentioned that there was a big easter egg at the beginning of the game where it just says that he’s Loki, so it feels like this checks out.

Reminds me of how people went crazy over finding Easter eggs in the Arkham series.

You have to hand it to these guys. When the easter eggs in the game aren’t good enough, they will engage in some kind of steganographic vision-quest until they half-discover and half-hallucinate a secret that seems special enough to sate their oversized commitment to finding it.

Awkward Zombie wins this week. Especially with the Yakuza Kiwami 2 demo calling out to me as I type this.

Penny Arcade got a genuine laugh out of me for the first time in a while.

I’m sorry, I can’t hear you over how much better BotW and Mario Odyssey are than anything on the PS4.

So you’re idea about a medium confronting violence is to not make it violent, to not confront the very issue in question? Violence isn’t a trope. It’s the reality of millions of human beings every day. Approached properly in a narrative medium it forces one to question what they’d ever do to protect themselves or

If you as a developer are really serious about challenging how we as a society and how the games industry specifically views violence, then just don’t have your game be violent. Stop making the player’s primary interaction with the game world violence. THAT would be a legitimately revolutionary concept in a AAA game.

Norm MacDonald isn’t an ideologue, but I’d say he’s right of center. And brilliant.

Wow, the movie with the most women in it is also the one that angry right-wing fanboys hate with an unending fury. What a weird coincidence.

He only had the most stressful job in the fucking world for eight fucking years. He’s a fucking private fucking citizen and can do whatever the fuck he wants.

She accidentally took the powers of a stripper cop instead of a real cop.

Technically ‘Electric Boogaloo’ is for shitty SEQUELS.

A) This is only the second one? and B) Because it’s beautiful.

The TV series is based off of the novels. The games are sequels to the novels, so this is more of a straight-forward adaptation of a series of books.

I just hope people understand that this is a toy first and foremost. I’ve seen too many people who only play games bashing the thing hard because they’re looking at it from a video game perspective. I hope that parents who pick this up for kids or are just curious what it is, get the information that it is a toy with

That explanation is peak White Guy, lol. He seems to be unable to separate doing racist shit with being racist. They’re not exclusive.
