I feel for the victims, too. It’s easy to get swept up by pushy cops who “guide” you into making hasty or false decisions. That Beernsten has the emotional wherewithal to make the above statements really shows her good character.

I also truly feel bad for Beernsten, the rape victim. She did nothing wrong and was failed by the justice system as well.

i’m not convinced of avery’s ultimate innocence, but this documentary really succeeded in shining a light on the kind of corruption that goes unexamined in small town police departments. the miscarriage of justice in this poor woman’s case was abhorrent.

One person I truly feel bad for in this is Brendan Dassey. This kid was unbelievably failed by those who were supposed to protect him and I do not believe he should be in jail. I hope that if anything comes from this, Brendan gets a shot a new trial.
