These things are great and you’re right, for $500 it isn’t terrible.  The real problem is those coils are only good for a few uses, so you have to keep buying replacements.  Replacements are about $50 for a 3 pack.

Its true.  The only company in the world that made MAP gas is no longer in business.  Something about they still own the patent so nobody else can make the real stuff for now.

It appears to have that notch in the door/window.  I would say F-series.

Out of curiosity, I looked into what it would cost at a brick-and-mortar parts store.

I’ve got one of these too! I think I got mine around 2008ish - still works! Although one of the buttons on the back fell off many years ago (a pen works fine to engage it now).
