I agree, it was pretty lacking. I mean, she couldn't have been another writer?

And y'know, Terry Farrell plays a dimwitted secretary, because what else are they going to have her do, I guess?

Funnily enough, Ira Stephen Behr kind of agrees with you! On stage at the Vegas Trek convention this past August, he gave a little annoyed speech about how people saying "Far Beyond the Stars" is the best episode of DS9 annoys him because it implies that a "normal" episode of the show is somehow lacking.

NOT AVAILABLE ON THE MINIATURIZED USS RUBICON

It's because we all hate nuDisqus.

I agree, I think they all come across well (with the notable exception of Cirroc Lofton.) Well, maybe Colm Meany as well, although how much of that is down to the fact that he doesn't play a shrinking violet all that well, I can't say.

Something on The Walking Dead doesn't make sense?!!

These idiots deserve to die.

Considering how full of themselves the Founders are, I wouldn't be surprised if they just called it "Language".

What's Voyager?

"Iggy Pop was cool" is like saying "ice cream is delicious".

The Ferengi didn't independently invent warp drive or their ships. They actually bought them from the sentient crab people that were Risa's original inhabitants.

So, she's basically Geordi La Forge, then?

Well, Siddig was a method actor, so he underwent a lobotomy in between season 5 and 6.

That's actually a good point.

@avclub-bca3531762af8a993c4f60c48fd5e33b:disqus Wow, I have absolutely no recollection of "Coming of Age". That'll be fun to watch in a few weeks. Or maybe it won't.

I read a hilarious article about tech that Star Trek got wrong, and I think number 1 on the list was "networking"

The CGI that DS9 was using by this point was quite noticeable in some of the Empok Nor scenes, as well as the shot of the Ferengi ship on the landing pad at DS9.

Oh god, "The Battle" is so terrible. It's way too early for an episode that makes us question Picard's motivations and character, because we don't know him well enough for that. And it turns up Picard's dick factor to an absurd degree. How the fuck could he forget destroying an unidentified ship? It's not like that

I don't like "The Magnificent Ferengi" as much as some (once you know where it's going it's not as much fun, although Iggy Pop is of course delightful) but I do love me some Keevan. I also like the quiet reveal that Moogie is over a hundred years old—Trek certainly has some long-lived races, doesn't it?
