Companies voluntarily altering their own products isn’t censorship.

Cool, these costumes seemed incredibly out-of-place to me. It’s good to see they’ve at least replaced them with costumes that will be fun for a wider audience.

I mean, it’s definitely censorship. These costumes were clearly integral to the narrative arc and thematic undercurrents of the game. Removing them compromises their artistic statement and the message contained within them. How am I even supposed to get scared now?

Yeah this game kinda fails at its intended purpose. Sharing and playing fun levels.

You should probably study up on your tropes to realize why giving Batman a “Destined Hero” story would be considered super cliched.

campy is the exact word that comes to mind with the movies.

If people hadn’t wailed it would still be the same broken game it was a year ago.

Damn, jealous of a fourteen-year-old.

They’re extremely campy... they just became socially acceptable.

Theo has returned to Gotham to make the city pay for what a small class of wealthy elite did to his wealthy, elite family 200 years ago—and most especially Bruce Wayne, the last surviving member of the family that wronged his family...

This is how I took it as well. It doesn’t seem like it “Turned out alright”. It sounds like they’re still in the shit and have no way out for another 8 years.

There are many other engines that do it far better (including in-engine editing). There was clearly inadequate tools and engine investment, which as the story notes, came back to bite them when they had to do a lot of ad-hoc rework.

Well to be fair to the Palins, he built a clock. They have no frame of reference to deal with that kind of behavior. It’s not like he got someone pregnant or got arrested for starting a fistfight at a house party.

So what I’m gathering for this story is that a bunch of people at Bungie are completely taken in by industry buzz words and are completely out of touch with their players.

Seriously, “linear” is not always a bad thing. An open world story can be done, but it’s incredibly difficult and going open world nearly always

Here’s a synopsis of their conversation*:

Eh, from the sound of the end of the article, it seems that Bungie is struggling to keep up. They might just cave in due to exhausted employees.

Crucible. Aaaand.. yeah.. that’s it. Have fun!

The moment Joe Staten left the company few months before the game even went gold, i knew some shit were happening. Then the sacking of Marty really left a bad taste in my mouth but to be fair the recent letter/email suggested Marty was being unprofessional as well. The one thing that saved this game(imo) at launch was

Did you not read about the DOJ investigation into the higher ups at Draft Kings / Fan Duels that were raking in serious money on the opposing site in what amounts to insider trading? I agree that gambling shouldn’t be banned, but it certainly needs the regulation.
