And sales taxes are regressive. Just because they’ve been doing it doesn’t mean they’re fair and don’t make it harder for the less wealthy to get ahead.

So anything essential is not taxed. And then consumers will be inclined to buy expensive, highly taxed non-necessities in order to fun public works. Got it.
If a gallon of milk costs the same and is taxed at the same rate it’s a higher tax burden for someone making $50k compared to someone making $100k.
If you make enough that you have to spend $4K to do your overly complicated taxes you’re pretty divorced from the reality of the majority of Americans.
I feel like, compared to other major media outlets, WaPo has been killing it this election cycle. This just adds to it.
A woman being elected President of the United States is closer to the rarity of the Cubs and Indians facing off in the World Series than a self-involved douchebag getting the job.
I don’t think that’s just a DC epidemic. It’s the NFL in general. I’ve much more easily fatigued by it and I actually though the 2011 lockout was great. Sure there was a little bit of NFL talk but it was nothing like a normal off-season.

I’m talking sustainability. There are only so many resources and so much livable space - both of which seem to be getting smaller. Humans can’t just keep growing as a population - one way or another human population is going to eventually decrease.
Why is it necessary for the human population to keep increasing? I’m not saying that people should be thrown out into the street or killed prematurely to thin the herd, but human population dying off over time is probably necessary to maintain a high quality of life.
That was my first election as well and I voted for Nader via absentee ballot in a deep-blue state as a registered Republican.
The Luddites better get their shit together and prevent this from happening.
The airport Brexit may take longer than the EU Brexit, amiright? Anyone? Is this thing on?
Yeah, at most a player has been there what - 5 years? 6 on the rare occasion. Why should they expect to get paid with so little seniority.
Oops.
86%? That’s worse than most bracketologists picking the 68 teams that qualify for NCAA tournament each year.
Couldn’t make it to the DC tour stop but a great read nonetheless.
