I live near a routine event run by exotic car owners. They make very sure if you don’t personally know them you will park in ding city by design.

So edgy. What next, a Miata and hairdresser joke?
Pretty sure it was a male driver since they tried to use a burnout to impress a bunch of strangers and then lost control.
No, it was a man. The car has been at c&c here before earlier in the summer. Idiocy is not confined to any gender
c’mon man, that was the stereotype back in ‘99 maybe. Now we know they’re all in Cayenne Turbos and X5 M’s.
It pretty much is one without the participation trophies. When people are turned away from parking at a spot because it doesn’t “fit in,” that’s much more of a car show and much less of a meet.
Minor edit, but this “the driver’s Porsche lost control”
Please stop referring to C&C as a car show. Please.

Seven seconds around the ring is pretty stout, sedan or not.
I guess it’s scary, but a properly-functioning airbag is still an explosion happening 2 feet away from your face.
Structural engineer here. The fact that this is the largest of the 3 (apparent) braces running across the short axis of the car to stiffen the frame rails tells me it has the most load on it (yes real engineering-ish). I’m having a hard time orienting the pictures with each other but regardless: corners are always the…
You can safely navigate that road (theoretically), doing anywhere between 5 and 25 over. Seriously. One of the main reasons it’s 35 is because it’s pretty windy, not every vehicle is a Miata or Ninja, and there’s a ton of cyclists.
Notice: I said 25 over. Which is “you’re in biiiiiig trouble if you get pulled over”…
Dear Mr. Jiefu Gong:
Thanks for ruining Huron River Drive for the rest of us with your assholery.
When this report first came out, I thought there was no way you were doing less than 3x the speed limit. Turns out you were 15mph shy of 4x.
Never drive a vehicle again. If you have the kind of money at 21 to buy a ‘Vette,…
The car was prominently featured on his channel, going well above the speed limit on this very same road. Jalop has made it very clear that parker was not the driver and not involved in this crash. But the douche Gong who owned it and crashed it was associated with him, at least in the past. It’s relevant, so get it…
I doubt it takes long for that car to get up to that speed. As to whether or not you could do 125 on that road, we already answered that question when they hit the tree.
Indeed. I’m rooting for this guy.
If this isn’t the American dream, I don’t know what is.
You should get a 90-94 Mazda Protege for your LeMons car. They are so dead nuts reliable you will assuredly finish the race. Plus they are cheap. If you can get the LX it has the same engine as the NA8 Miata and the Escort GT from 91-96.
