Hey man, at least they’re trying. Sometimes it’s fun to off-road/soft-road whatever you got lol. I’ve gotten some really weird looks from Jeep/Truck owners when I’m out in my Alltrack, but it doesn’t stop me.

I can respect the A6 as an alternative but I want to point out that the G80 also has hips, looks athletic, restrained and classy, and has an interior devoid of piano black bezels everywhere. It also uses real climate controls rather than another screen, more soft-touch materials, a better positioned Nav screen, and…
65 tons of Korean Pride! GV Eightyyyyy!
I basically grew up in a 1999 Solara XLE V6. Seeing the interior pics of this car brought back a lot of memories. The Solara had the same climate control, shift knob, and cupholders. It was a Canadian market version that made it’s way to Utah and my dad had the climate controls still set on Celsius until I turned 16…
Lived my life through one of these up until 2017. I had tried the Cigarette Lighter/FM Radio things but they were never as reliable as the cassette adapter, even though I had to replace it every couple years.
I don’t get who it’s for. It’s my understanding that the R8's Quattro operates like reverse Haldex, power goes primarily to the back but can be sent forward when slip is detected. I don’t think RWD will necessarily make it handle significantly better, so I just don’t see who wants to buy a less capable Audi R8 over…
I’m sure I’m not the first one to think this, but does this mean the next WRX will be an M340i xDrive underneath?
The new 2 Series Gran Coupe, the first four-door BMW sedan in the U.S. positioned to slot under the 3 Series
I think it’s really cool that McLaren made this, something that isn’t just trying to be overly aggressive and insane, but rather a supercar you can really drive. That being said, I can’t imagine a scenario where this is a better road trip car than something like an E63. Unless that road trip ends on the red carpet and…
Fun story, I recently got a new supervisor at work who moved out here (Utah) from New Jersey. On his initial visit out before he moved, I noticed that he was driving a Chevy Trax rental. So I asked him “What do you drive? Because I noticed your rental is a Trax, so that’s what I’m associating you with, and nobody…
Yeah, I had a tuned GTI before the Alltrack. Wheelspin gets old. My Alltrack is hitting 60 a full second faster than my GTI did thanks to the AWD.
2 months ago I bought an Alltrack SEL, added $2k of APR ECU and TCU tunes, and boom. AWD GTI wagon. Same horsepower and even powerband. Once the amazing warranty is closer to being up I’m going to swap in the IS20 turbo to build my own Golf R wagon.
The CT4-V’s competition includes the Golf R, S3, A35, M240i, and soon to be M135i. The only one with 6 cylinders is the M240i, so I wouldn’t exactly say the segmented is “Dominated” by 6cyls.
Serious question: is it actually a twin-turbo I6, or is BMW confusing everyone again by saying it’s a “twin-power”(twin-scroll) turbo? Because I was under the impression that this engine, at least in the M240i, has a single turb0.
Oh I don’t actually live in Austin, that’s just my name haha. Appreciate the offer though! How long do your summer tires last? I’m currently on the Continental Extreme Contact DWS (all seasons) because I’m in Utah where it snows for a good 1/3 of the year and the all seasons have a higher treadwear rating, but I have…
Do the wider tires help much with the wheel spin? I’ve been exploring the idea of upgrading to a new car but I’m just so sick of wheel spin to the point where I’d be leaning more towards a used Golf R/S3 than a new GTI, but I know the new ones with the LSD are supposed to be better that way. Not being able to floor it…
Looks sweet! Is that just with a tune on the stock turbo? My MK6 GTI is Apr stg 1 which is right around ~250hp and I still can’t believe how much more responsive the 7's are to tunes!
Looking at the logo alone it can’t be that old, didn’t Cadillac just ditch the “laurel wreath” thing in the logo like 3 years ago?
I think you just described a VW Squareback with the MK7 Golf R engine & transmission.
Ahh yes, the increasingly popular “Face Chopped Off to Reveal Robot/Skeleton Underneath” design. Also used in such applications as:
