As far as Eastwood's "military propaganda lawn" is concerned, I would suggest no movie humanized the Japanese military as well as "Letters from Iwo Jima", also an Eastwood vehicle. Vivid depiction of the grit and horrible plight of both sides of that battle…just my experience.
