I think a single Tramp shot would have sufficed, but his travel through the machinery in Modern Times maybe? What about the Odessa Steps in Battleship Potemkin? Or Lillian Gish on the iceberg in Way Down East? John Wayne framed in the doorway at the end of The Searchers? Marlene Dietrich taking off the gorilla mask in

That wasn't the first time they've dropped the perspective device - the first several minutes of last week's episode was un-anchored. It was subtle. Maybe they're moving toward phasing out the perspective gimmick entirely. I think it's played out by now anyway.

Still stunned this show has yet to find an audience. I think it's one of the best shows on right now.

> That’s what I love about the prequels: Their imagination is vast, yet interactive; beautiful, yet recognizably human.

No worries. I'm pretty sure Kevin's under the dumpster with Glen.

Loved the shout out to Pulp Fiction in the 1994 flashback and Elliot's response to Darlene at the train station, "I'm pretty fucking far from okay."
Pretty much sums it up at this point.

"There's a light, light in the darkness of everybody's life."

I get the C+…it's for trying but not quite getting there. But D+? Aren't we splitting the hairs of failure at that point?

Wow, the still really shows the filmmakers' attention to detail. Who knew that Canadian maple trees had become an invasive species in 1960s Vietnam?

FTFY - So I'm going to insist the way the park was designed by SPIELBERG with a CASH wish…

I wouldn't mind seeing what Sung Kang could do with the role and they could play off the fact that he's an outsider to the martial arts as an Asian-American just like the comicbook version is derided for being American (maybe it makes even more dramatic sense - like he's an un-pure version), but if they stick with the

Inspired casting! Glad they're close to wrapping casting for DD S2, but…WHERE'S MY IRON FIST CASTING?!?

I prefer the Lucas Chin Theory.

Well, yeah. There's that.

Why the hate for this episode? That was easily my FAVORITE hour of Penny Dreadful to date. Patti LuPone was amazing. I was riveted the entire hour. I could've watched multiple episodes of this story. And of course, Eva Green was spellbinding. Always spellbinding.

Why didn't the entire timeline crumble when Eddie sacrificed himself? Cisco. I think his meta mystery power is the thread holding reality together.

Ship out of danger, Eddie. Ship out of danger.

Thanks for this reasonable response. You'd think the world was ending over at The Mary Sue. I absolutely hated that they took Sansa down that road, but I feel like I owe it to her to see how this all plays out. They have to give us something even a little redemptive, don't they? Then again, this is GoT.

I remember last summer a rumor circulating about a Flash/Green Lantern CW movie. Is that still a thing? Otherwise, please stop teasing Green Lantern because it is upsetting me.

And he'll learn kung fu
