Making drugs/etc children attractive is not a new thing. Sure the technology is a bit different now but the concept is the same.

If you open the door when the auto-off is off it assumes you are leaving the car and turns off completely. It’s a feature not a bug I think. It’s helpful when you pull into the garage and can just jump out of the car without hitting any buttons to turn the car off.

On my Skoda it’s the same - it happens when you unfasten the seatbelt while in START/STOP mode.
