I think she just genuinely cares about Rhaenyra and is really worried for her—because it WOULD be really bad news for Rhaenyra. Sometimes we get mad at our friends for doing stupid shit, even though it’s their own business. In our fear/worry, we lash out in anger as a way to put the negative emotions onto someone else.

The show hasn’t stated it explicitly, so you didn’t miss a specific mention. But like other people have said, the heavy implication is that (literally) he’s caught some kind of chronic rot infection from getting a cut from the throne and (symbolically) he’s unfit to sit on the throne.

In all the reviews I’ve read (a whopping grand total of three) no one’s mentioned this! I’m surprised reviewers haven’t been tuning into these post-episode talks. Ideally the storytelling is clear enough that you wouldn’t need a showrunner’s clarification to close up any accidental ambiguity, but hey, if it’s there you

If the actors have commented on deliberately wanting there to be chemistry, then that’s that—but when I was Rhaenyra and Alicent’s age, that’s just how we girls were with our girlfriends! Very affectionate, close, and giggly. So it never registered to me as chemistry haha. Normal ~teen girl stuff~

At the end of the episode, the showrunners directly talk about how he’s “obviously carried a torch for her” for years so clearly it’s consensual. And I thought that was made evident through the filming—his hesitation is about the fact that if he’s found out, he’ll probably get killed, so he tries to stay responsible

Man, that’s disappointing. I’ll shamelessly use this review to plug myself: If you’re a speculative fiction writer of any kind and don’t want to end up like this, hire me as your book coach! HELP ME HELP YOU!

I’m neither a parent nor an ADHD expert so my opinion here might be next to worthless. But I am an adult who got diagnosed with ADD a few years ago, and what you’re describing sounds veeery much like ADD and how I was as a kid. (Ahem, and also how I am now as an adult.) Not EVERY kid with ADD will be hyperactive.

This is all very useful, and the next question is: If we pay in cash, and the tip goes in the tip jar...Does the barista check the wad of cash right away to see how much we tipped, thus earning the goodwill needed for an all-day camp-out? Or should I put the cash tip on the counter instead of in the tip jar? (I get

I can see how it would sound that way, but the book does a great job of going into how weird and difficult it is for Henry, so it’s not creepy. (And yes, it also goes into the sexual weirdness of knowing that you’re going to be sleeping with an age-appropriate someone even though you’re hanging out with their younger

This is one of my all-time favorite books, and it is RIPE for a good adaptation. The movie was garbage, which isn’t surprising--there’s just way too much material for a movie. I’m excited for this show, it looks promising and I can’t wait for new people to get on the Time Traveler’s Wife boat. Weird sci-fi scenarios,

My dad—mid-70s, overweight, previously diagnosed heart issues—recently experienced a combination of these symptoms for DAYS before dying at home, after having my mom call 911 but unfortunately before the medics could get there. He had schedule an appointment to see his doctor because of the symptoms, but cancelled it

They’re also in Boston!

My (tall, large) father honest to god screams the word “wachoo” when he sneezes and it’s always made me nuts, especially since he sneezes usually 5+ times in a row. Good to know I can still blame him 50% for the heinous noise.

This is a random nit-pick that is not the point of the article, but aren’t frozen vegetables actually perfectly fine and nutritious to eat?

That TJ’s in the photo is (was) my after-therapy emotional shopping stop but it’s too far away for me to get to comfortably in pandemic  times. I miss it so.

Out of honest ignorance, how does the post office normally make the money that they’re currently losing? (Is it really people spending money on shipping packages and buying stamps?)

Can confirm. Dated and lived with an ex-professional chef for years and he was pretty much incapable of making a healthy meal. That being said, everything he ever cooked was damn delicious. Thank you, butter.
