Pear elderflower, you say...????

Oh, Ellen.

This man is the truest definition of an asshole.

This is a relief. They should have done it sooner, and I assume they’re only doing it because the Sacklers have now been taken to court, but at least it’s done. The Sacklers have used their philanthropic donations as a cover-up for their disgusting empire for decades and the sooner that cover gets ripped away from

Certain career fields are located primarily in NYC...It doesn’t answer the question for everyone, but I’ll probably be moving to NYC for that reason.

Brienne’s last moment in the whole show is her crying about how Jaime loved Cersei? Not turning the page and writing her own motherfucking name? “Ser Brienne of Tarth, first female Gold Cloak and Owner of Pod”. Fuck off with that shit D&D!!!!!

As another reviewer put it so nicely, foreshadowing is the not the same thing as character development. Something can be foreshadowed and still be totally rushed/botched.

I agree 100% with your takes—even Bran warging into the horse! That one would have been such an easy win for D&D! (Instead he still has done nothing and, sorry, I’ll stop.)

Dany’s absolutely was—she experienced an extended visual prophecy, one that included dead Khal Drogo and their baby.

No--two siblings. Arya’s left Winterfell.

It’s not like he has TWO SIBLINGS AT WINTERFELL to take care of Ghost, jesus christ Jon

At this point I’m having a REALLY hard time figuring out what I don’t like because I don’t like it and what I don’t like because it’s bad writing. I honestly don’t know who I want to root for, or who the show is telling me to root for (surely not Jon?) and that seems like a bad sign to me.

I do still like this more than cable, but I foresee a lot of two-way password-sharing in my future.

Which is 100% not a musical. Guys, I love Steven Spielberg. I also love musicals. It’s not crazy to be a little “hmm” about the guy who directed Schindler’s List and Indiana Jones to be directing a musical. I’m not even saying that I expect it to be bad. I’m just “hmm”.

Promithus? = Prometheus + Fyre? Promithes????

Luckily I was talking about Steven Spielberg and his remake, which is what the original comment is referring to.

There’s also the trepidation about an old rich white sci-fi/adventure guy directing a musical about racism.

I re-watched this recently with my dad, and I think what shines above everything else in the movie--good and bad--is simply the choreography and the music. That long opening sequence showing the gangs moving through the city is perfectly choreographed and filmed, and always leaves me staring with my mouth open.

Oh NO

Protect Salim and his sweater at all costs!
