Gotta love the type of person who’s rude enough to right such a jerk message, but not brave enough to actually say it out loud to the person’s face.

I imagine this adaptation will be totally separate from the Kubrick movie and stick closer to the book(s). There’s no reason for it to be linked to the OG Shining.

There’s a little bit of rebellion! At least one person tries to kill some soldiers, a few others rebel by essentially committing suicide, one person tries to run off to the woods, etc. It never works, but Stephen King does a good job of showing how those moments give them all little bursts of energy and raise their

I read the book after reading this review! (My favorite Stephen King books are his weird “what if” plots, so the summary pressed all my buttons.) It was fun to imagine how to adapt it to screen. It’s certainly doable, if you have the right smart and creative people. Fingers crossed it comes out well!

NEWSFLASH ASSHOLE!!!!!

As Harron pointed out, the fact that there is not much research and writing about trans issues means that what DOES get published carries a lot of weight and power with the average joe’s reading it. The fact that this cis person has irresponsibly become a sort of spokesman for “trans issues” (putting that in quotes

Hi Victor! The problem with your defense is the same problem that Harron is writing about here: Instead of thinking about this topic in an analytical, unbiased way (which is VERY important in journalism), you’re going into it with a bias, personal opinion that you are supporting with “evidence” (personal experience is

“I’m not interested in sharing this list or any other space with someone who is going to insist on nullifying and erasing my existence and experience as female.”

My jaw DROPPED at that quote.

Thank you for your service ma'am.

Very well argued, swears included. In fact...more swears! Swears everywhere!!

Uh, it’s not a problem that he hasn’t seen the movie if he isn’t writing a movie review. He’s reporting on the movie’s weird ad campaign and the critics/audience response to the movie.

Sadly, just a regular old flesh person :(

Yeah I’m over here wondering what they, uh, do with the sets when they’re done with them? Can I just have them?

“Man Quietly Shakes Fist At Internet for Liking Movie So Much”

Maybe do some research on abuse?

Imagine having this much energy to be an asshole on the internet for no reason

Literally the goal of this was not for retribution against the ex, it’s so that she can tell her story, try to get closure, and hope that other people learn from it. It’s just a nice bonus if Hardwick gets boned. Stop being so mean.

Ha ha! Rich people!

TOO MANY BOYS

BOOM. AUTISM.
