I mean, that’s an easy enough opinion to have: If you can’t afford a baby, don’t have sex until you can. But how are you going to convince people to do that? Or, god forbid, enforce people to do that? And since we don’t live in that kind of country anyways, expecting people to follow that line of thinking is pretty…
It wouldn’t surprise me—and there’s a long, seedy history of minority women being forcibly sterilized if they were, say, in the hospital, mental institution, or prison, etc. Awful awful awful.
No! My one chance to see a goth Jason Momoa!!!!
“Poor people shouldn’t have kids” and “Women shouldn’t be allowed to have abortions” and “My tax dollars shouldn’t pay for women’s birth control” are three things that contradict each other totally, and yet, we get people like this asshole mashin’ ‘em all together and spouting off their insane opinions.
So, we can assume this guy was planning on committing a mass killing, right? Jesus fucking christ. Thank god they investigated him.
Woops, I made an assumption and made an ass out of u and me! (Just me.) I wonder if the U.S. will ever graduate to axes and chainsaws once the men and boys get tired of guns.
I think about that movie every time one of these things happens—how deeply fucked up it can leave a parent, how well kids can pretend to be a normal, functioning person when they want to. But I haven’t watched it since these shootings became the norm, so I’m really curious to see if my feelings about it would be…
Exactly. In cases like this, clearly, obviously, these shooters are hiding a dark, violent, disturbed side of themselves from everyone they knew. And I’m sure that’s terrifying to admit—that you don’t know your kid or friend well enough to see that he’s a future mass murderer. But based on what I’ve seen in my own…
There is clearly some kind of reason that the vast majority of mass murderers in the U.S. are men and boys. In many ways all genders are capable of the same things—but when it comes to mass murder, clearly men and boys are the ones we need to direct our thinking/debating/efforts at.
It’s very interesting—in our country, it wouldn’t be an axe, it would be a gun. And it wouldn’t be three people dead, it would be 10 or 15 or 20.
In general, is the most cost-efficient way to do European travel to fly to your state’s cheapest European destination (say, from Massachusetts to Stockholm) and THEN fly within Europe to another country (say, from Stockholm to England)?
It’s amazing that this woman doesn’t she how she’s the one being a harasser and making the bathroom an uncomfortable, unsafe place. She’s also just straight up embarrassing herself by acting like a 13-year-old bully—not a charming look. Some people are just straight up stupid.
I mean, I’m not sure how this person is supposed to reach out to you and comfort/convince you with a statement about her gender identity every time she needs to use the bathroom in a public space? Should we get her a badge her something?
Oh wow she really did just scoop up her poop in her bare hand, alright then.
Right? I’m curious to know what the cost of a chauffer is vs a self-driving car. (Look I have no idea what rich-people things cost.)
Yeah....This isn’t someone accidentally driving into a telephone pole. This is someone driving into other cars and human beings.
I imagine you weren’t constantly surrounded by other humans where you were mowing though, so I’d give it a pass compared to this bs.
This person isn’t a true pizza lover. They do not know the pizza’s pure love.
Exactly—it can feel so callous to have those talks about “what happens after you die?”, but from what I’ve heard from friends and family, it makes the death SO much easier because you don’t have to deal with financial panic on top of your grieving. There’s a book out (well, probably more than one) that’s a hands-on…
