Yes, there are.

I mean, yeah, it’s barebones and doesn’t add much like the other remakes.....but it’s still a recreation of a damn good game.

Sw/Sh has the same thing and it’s honestly not as gamebreaking as you would think.

They tried something different and honestly I give them props for that. In a time where everyone was pumping out traditional RPGs, it took balls to do something completely different. Of course I actually enjoyed VIII so maybe I’m a tad biased.

Sega vs Nintendo in the 90s certainly was. Playstation was also rather aggressive in their early ads.

Nowadays though, yeah it’s only the fanboys who do the rabid console war thing. Everyone else has the “Competition is good for everyone” type mentality

To be fair, the junction system wasn’t entirely the most intuitive thing in the world.

That’s how I look at it too. See how far I can go with what I have, take stock in what’s around me and realize that I can die any time. SMT4 also had that “You can die at any time” feeling, but the fact that you can also save anywhere kinda lessened that blow a bit.

I agree that it makes sense to focus more on content for EVERYONE as opposed to content for only a third of the player base. It’s still pretty ridiculous and highlights why platform exclusives for multiplatform games are pretty stupid when there’s no equivalent.

The amusing thing is that because I know that the game is punishing, I save almost all the time. If I accomplish something major, I will go back to the last save point JUST to be sure. Plus after the first major boss you get the ability to warp back to your last save point so that helps immensely.

he will “consider leaving the company” if he can’t speedily address the harassment issues that have made headlines around the world this year.

This.....seems rather low effort. Like “Hey, we need a pokemon article since new games released. Let’s just regurgitate info that’s freely available elsewhere and do it in a format that’s less appealing.”

This. Honestly the story sounded good on paper. It was just terrible in it’s execution.

I was thinking that myself. I can take a screenshot, upload it and it’s on my phone ready to share wherever I want. That’s significantly easier than using a flash drive.

This. Every other remake has improved on the originals and more or less became the definitive way of playing those games unless you’re going for pure nostalgia. They also usually brought their original gen’s pokedex into the current gen.

This game? Just sounds like Gen 4 with a graphical upgrade. Which isn’t TERRIBLE.

I did something similar. In Sw/Sh it helped that I could change pokemon more or less on the fly.

That being said, if they’re going to insist on making it mandatory then yeah, they should totally balance the entire game around it. Make people appreciate it because otherwise leveling would be a pain.

I understand clickbait is a thing. However there are plenty of articles out there that get clicks without resorting to being insanely misleading or out and out lying.

Because it’s misleading as fuck.

This....actually is a good idea for a game. I’m kinda shocked it hasn’t been done before in the DB universe.

Also, technically, Freiza is on par with SSB Goku

So....why does she get articles about this and buying a gas station, but Kotaku seems to have glossed over her selling NFTs, especially since they’ve railed on everything else NFT related?

This. And they used to be so quick to correct mistakes. But between inaccurate info in guides and out and out lying in headlines, this site is quickly going downhill
