I only compared the new movie to the “original” movie, and I see a pretty strong resemblance. I never thought the cartoon movie gave her a particularly Asian look. And of course anime is guilty of the whole round-eye trope, so there’s that. I think this is a non-issue. You don’t like the movie? Don’t go see it. FWIW.
