I've raised the AC temp in my house, ride my bike for short trips, drive a hybrid, take public transportation, and a bunch of other sanctimonious crap. But the one thing I will not abide is a low-flow shower head. If I'm not the color of a steamed lobster when I get out then it wan't a good shower.

@Andrew Deem: I never said I didn't see the value, but I could have been clearer. I understand why sports like this require offsides, but I don't know how it's applied specifically in soccer. I do appreciate everyone's attempt to explain it, though.

@pskennedySOS: Not necessarily true. I am a big baseball fan. I find a 1-0 pitching duel just as exciting as a 10-9 slug-fest, but that's because I understand what's happening. Ditto hockey and outstanding goal tending. To counter your argument, I dislike the NBA because of the gratuitous scoring.

I'm not a soccer fan mainly because I didn't grow up with it and never had the rules and strategies explained to me. But I am a sports fan and would like to know more. Maybe I could grow to like it. @Kung-Fu Kurtis Carnivale of Carnage: I have a 40 inch that's about 3 years old. My only complaint is some cable channels suffer horrible pixelation, especially with fast-moving images, but that's probably the fault of the provider. Hooked up to a PS3 via HDMI, the picture is stunning.

Will Lara Flynn Boyle be in it? She would still be 2D even in 3D.
