Another funny use of the slicer in the episode (by the writers, not the characters) is that it solves the mystery of where Jerry got the rash from: Kramer (SO typically) soaking Jerry's face cloth in benzene solvent (to clean the slicer).

Seeing Michael Richards as Kramer do exaggerated over-the-top "acting" combined with Mickey's sarcastic eye-rolling delivery, repeating the lines we just heard from the real actors is pretty funny.
