As someone who has never watched this show, never will, and cheered when I heard it was going to end, this is the content I need.

Shit like this makes me feel guilty about reading gossip blogs/sites, which indirectly help perpetuate this sort of harassment.

This video makes a lot of good, cogent points. It’s particularly true that a lot of the blowback has to do with our contempt for teenage girls and lack of conflict with similarly problematic movies/books which are pitched towards boys and men.

Wow I COMPLETELY forgot to include my favorite Twilight video in this post, which is Robert Pattinson’s last press tour for the franchise where he openly shits on the movie and everyone in it. 

I had the exact same reaction, especially after the Huff Post piece made such a big deal of having the people featured choose their own photos and how they were portrayed. That was powerful, this is disappointing. 

Yeah I’m not loving this photo, mostly because it seems like it was likely taken without that woman’s knowledge and consent as a “lol look at this fat person at the beach” thing.

Really, with the picture? It’s one step up from the “headless fatty” pics used to dehumanize fat people all the time in the media.
