Yeah once you figure out different possible build strategies and start unlocking new cards, it starts showing a lot more depth. One of my favorite character types in that regard is the thief. He starts out with some cards that seem fairly useless: action cards that are stuff like "+1 action point, draw 1 card"

Mostly because the game has a little graphic recommending one at the beginning. It is turned-based so isn't like you need one to control things at high speed. I just tried it without my controller and it's a little more laborious using the keyboard, but totally possible - more a quality of life improvement than

SteamWorld Heist is best with a USB controller, if that's a consideration. I've never tried it without one.

My choices would be SteamWorld Heist ($10) and 80 Days ($5).

The first roller coaster I built in Planet Coaster accidentally doubled as an astronaut training simulator. Riders experienced 13 lateral Gs at one point. That's a lot.

It may be mostly because I like to read it around this time of year and associate certain things in it with Beowulf and Gawain and the Green Knight.

The Hobbit as Christmas Story

I've decided to go ahead and finish my provisional emergency Advent club entry and post it here. Too many words about "The Hobbit as Christmas story" incoming shortly.

To expand again we just need to be taken out of our weird cardboard tube in the freezer, dumped into a pitcher, and mixed with water. Metaphorically.
