The game certainly didn’t live up to the hype because the hype was ridiculous to begin with. However, I expected a beautiful open-world game with a heavy influence from Deus Ex and that’s exactly what I got. CP would have benefit greatly from another year of polish but what we got was certainly a solid 8/10 (on PC).…

While most of that is true, I wouldn’t conflate kids burying their noses in literature and educational reading materials with having their eyes glued to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and whatever other social media people use nowadays.

Ha ha man, I remember writing here before the game came out about how it had much the same setup as No Man’s Sky. Way too much hype, eager fans with imaginations and expectations run amok, no possibility in hell it could ever live up to what it was being sold as.

I’m really sad that it came down to this. The console versions (though maybe not on PS5 XBSX?) are pretty whack, but the PC version is really good. Slightly buggy for me, but really good. :/
