looking forward to his follow up, “Civil Rights,” set in the 1950s-60s, in which he claims the movie has nothing to do with race.

I used to believe this was possible, that as a Gen Xer, once the Boomers died off we’d be well on the way to being free from racism. Now I look at the average age of the so-called alt-right, and like the man said, “Everything old is new again.” Racism’s in it for the long haul.
this was especially weird to me as well...like, someone else described it as “negging,” in the PUA vein, and I think that sounds about right. I half expected him to say something like, “well, you know you’d do a lot better in tournaments if you were with a guy like me..” or something equally galling. Obviously the…
seeing the people complaining about his speech is pretty much Internet Commenting SOP. Never change, Internet Cool Guys. You are certainly “telling it like it is” and impressing the rest of us with your wit and insight.
excellent comment history as well, btw.
Brian was fired in August of 2020...Cara Ellison left four months or so ago. It’s not looking good...at this rate, pass it along unfinished to the fans and they’ll fix and finish it just like the first one.
ENH...disappointing, but tbh I’m holding out hope beyond hope for a remake of “The Operative: No One Lives Forever!” I absolutely LOVED that series, but iirc someone mentioned a year or so ago that the licensing is in some sort of limbo-hell, which...bah. :( I suspect if it hadn’t have been a remake, and instead a…
from my experince in the service, I can tell you that military pay is shit...you have married enlisted soldiers barely surviving in trailer parks outside most every base in America, surrounded by payday loan places, pawn shops, and liquor stores.

I still remember reading “Hollywood Babylon” as a kid (! yeah my parents had the ‘75 edition and assumed I would never read it, so it just sat on our bookshelves LOL) and was just blown away by the number of things occuring “behind the curtain.” Probably led to some of my current-day cynicism, I suspect. ;)
Thanks! Yes, this was just mentioned to me as well and I’m looking forward to finding it! :)
Sorry for the belated reply! ;) No I haven’t seen the doc...will look for it! and YES, if he is to be believed (and I have no reason not to) the stories are all 100% true. However, we all know humans and age sometimes add to natural embellishment, but I understand that he 100% stood by the stories.
The gas station bit reminds me of the book by Scotty Bowers, “Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars,” which was an amazing read. The book almost seems to wild to be true, but...I have found as I get older that some stuff is just too wild to NOT be true.
“I think this would be a good show to watch if Qualludes were still around.” is the single greatest assessment of this dumpster-fire I’ve ever or will ever read. Thank you for this.
arghh...no Xs MAX. :| oh well...hopefully soon!

AMEN! I’ve said this numerous times as well...remaster all of the NOLF games for play on modern hardware and I’d snatch them up no questions asked!
This is the same company who released the Fallout: Wasteland Warfare miniatures game, and ALSO just announced the upcoming Fallout RPG!! (which I am totally psyched about.) At this rate, an Elder Scrolls RPG can’t be far behind.
