This is totally anecdotal, I know, but I used to get them all the time too. I discovered that there’s a chemical in many hygiene products called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate that makes them “foamy”. I read somewhere that it can cause irritation and it does nothing to make the toothpaste more effective.
