Agreed, I’m on the road a lot too. Rather let my s/o ping my map instead of texting, waiting for me to pull over to respond, then drive again. Especially if it’s a ETA question.

Exactly this. If one of you is driving hundreds of miles (generally me), it’s nice to be able to just look and see where they are, rather than calling or texting asking where they are, how soon they’ll probably arrive, etc. The same thing for someone going out and running errands. Have they gotten to the grocery store…

I trust my girlfriend and she trusts me. We both share our locations with each other to save on the texts “What time do you think you will be home?” or “Are you still at work?”
