It was definitely conceived and written as being a one season show with a clear ending. I suppose had it been a huge success, they might have looked into doing other stories in Wonderland, or something, for another season though.

I'm actually glad that they are exploring this while he's that age. So often shows are totally okay with exploring straight relationships for kids that age (crushes, dating) but refuse to even acknowledge that there would be non-straight kids at that age as well. I think it's because non-straight sexualities have been…
Yeah, same. The only time I even remember grief counselors even being brought up was in season two, when the characters talk with the counselor about the death of the Kanima controller dude (I want to say… Matt? I think?). So the death of a villain gets it (a little), but none of the actual hero characters.
I didn't mind them much either, until this season. Which isn't to say it was because they were bad or anything, just that, after they were both inexplicably kept alive at the end of 3A and then nothing really happened with them, I got angry that they were still taking screentime away from other characters who needed…
Yeah and after building up the Nogitsune for weeks as this like near unstoppable chaotic force he like… didn't even do anything? And he was defeated pretty easily in the end. Honestly, they probably should have gone all out, really commit, and like use the Nogitsune as like a way to reboot the cast or something, lol.…
I love Lena and Jude's relationship. So many of their scenes together are so good and touching. I also remember earlier in the season (likely not coincidence that it was also when he was first painting his nails) they had that talk about Lena being angry and hating herself that she sometimes didn't hold Steph's hand…
That is really not what I got from that scene/storyline at all. It had nothing to do with Bay finding Tank attractive or not, but rather that she still wasn't certain how she felt about having sex with someone and that she wasn't obligated to go along with it if she didn't want to have sex in that moment and that it…
Yeah, the fact that some commenters above are like, making fun of John and Toby in that scene is really disheartening, because you're totally right, this is the kind of stuff we want to be seeing.
I got into this show a while back, marathoned the series, finally caught up to the present day, and yeah, that was the biggest thing I found exhausting about the show — it just put far too much emphasis on the romance. Like, the girls (and Toby but to a lesser extent I suppose) primary stories were always romance.…
Finally the twins are written out. I really don't get why they were kept alive in the 3A finale since they accomplished and added pretty much nothing to 3B. But oh well.
I bought this book because of this review, and, my god, is this a terrible, repetitive, annoying and frustrating book.
From what I could tell, it was just a way to lure everyone there (to save Lydia) at which point the Nogitsune would use the last fox tail to take control over the Oni and slaughter as many people as he could.
From what I've read, Crystal didn't specify she wanted to permanently leave the show, just that she wanted to off and wanted to explore new things and Jeff said "We'll give you an amazing ending" (which, lol, this definitely wasn't).
That was just one possible route, and it mostly depends on how its executed. If for example the decision came about after something really dramatic (say, having to kill someone else because of the Nogitsune) then it would perhaps work more strongly.
Which makes this even worse because they knew all season that she was leaving and this was the best they could come up with — randomly killed off with no proper set up or meaning, having her last scenes be all about the men in her life.
And yet when Colton left, they managed to write him off, and leave it open for him to return, without a problem. Are the writers really so uncreative that they couldn't have come up with something else? Perhaps her coming to the conclusion to "thread the needle" and leave the hunting life, move to France?
And yet another woman is killed off (+ all of her scenes in this episode are about her relationships to men), while the other leading female character gets treated to rape imagery all episode, and doesn't get an actual scene with her best friend.
I'm most concerned with whether or not they will de-bi him in this. That's the deal breaker for whether or not I give this a chance myself.
They edited their response after I made my comment to remove the sentences/language that made it sound like I was talking to him specifically. I know how forums work.
I'm sorry, I just can't take anyone who stans Darren Criss seriously. I'm glad you like where the show went with all that though.
