This isn't a distinctly automotive issue. China manufactures EVERYTHING, but there is little innovation. Someone send them plans that they build under contract, amd then welch on if it works out, or simply reverse engineer a product. Merits of the case aside, I'm now resenting this accusation leveled at America, Land of the Brave and Home of the Free (™), that we were the source of the original complaint. Take some personal responsibility, United Kingdom, like American Hero and World Savior Ronald Reagan (™) would've done.

I would say it sucked compared to what it was supposed to be.

Chinese buyers get a Chinese car because of the price and to support the home market, but then find that the cars don't feel as well built as competitors in the market, like cars from German automakers that are more expensive but feel sturdier.
