Fair enough, I haven't seen any of the others in the series, so I wasn't sure how serious it is meant to be.

The everything wrong with series is often meant to be as silly as the movie. If you're looking for a real serious mistake count, it's not the place to look. Hell Iron Man 2 had something like 1,145,245 mistakes because of the "Bird bonus round."

I see your general point - reading the "continuity errors" on IMDb makes me want to punch someone - but these are done for amusement. They're meant to be amusing, not nitpicky (at least that's how I take them).

I get the general principle (and part of is unquestionably funny), it's just that most people tend to overdo it IMO.
