That's exactly why I said the defence was bullshit, because it's not a defence at all. We need to hold people, especially those regarded as "genius" or "brilliant" to a higher standard. Not on a pedestal, but as a decent and kind human being.

Ugh. This is why I have given up on a number of friends. There are a number of awesome geek/nerd guys I know, but yeah, so many of them I can't stand because they have this simmering misogyny.
