Looking at a Cobra Mustang in the late 90's on the showroom floor. I asked the salesman what was different between the Cobra and the regular GT, and he responded with “They’re pretty similar, but everything is just tweaked”... “Tweaked”, I thought? I then asked specifically about the brakes, because I thought they

I’ll make this real short and cut to the good part. The sales manager (while holding our car keys in his hand, preventing us from leaving) told us that we were likely to be murdered if we tried to sell our car on our own on Craigslist. “You know, I saw a story the other day where a guy got stabbed over a cell phone.

You can save a lot of money on the purchase price with a higher mileage cars. But you HAVE to set money aside for repairs. You also have to do your homework researching common faults, fixes, and parts costs.
I only buy cars I know I can fix, so my daily drivers for the last 10 years have all had over 100k miles.
1985

This is tricky, because you probably couldn’t buy a decent condition, stock E55 with that mileage, and then build it up to this for less money.
So IMO it comes down to if you care for their execution. Wrap, wheels, a-pillar gauges, etc...
I voted NP because it’s pretty well done with good supporting mods.
I might be

My mom had one of these, bought new in ‘81. I learned how to drive stick shift on it, and made my first automotive repair on it. Great, simple, little cars.... but nearly $6k? Nah man... nah

Pro-tip from a father of two: you’re going to want something with 4 doors. You will grow to HATE lugging that child carrier in and out of the backseat of any coupe.

I’m glad someone saw the same thing we did.

E34's classy AF

DAT ASS!!!

Everyone that voted NP needs to do some serious research on these cars. Maintenance is a nightmare. Part of “regular service” involves disassembly of the top half of the engine to find obscure vacuum leaks.

1974 Triumph Spitfire. I remember riding in the “backseat” (aka: parcel shelf). It was the 70's nobody gave a shit.

Touring with the sport package, AWD, and manual transmission is definitely a cool, rare combo... but with those miles at that price?

The worst I’ve ever been ripped off by a car sale was with a 1991 BMW 535i. It was my car and I was the seller. I ripped myself off.

Hey Volvo, nice C-pillar!

I have direct experience with one of these! We had it as a rental when we visited family in PA. We needed to haul ~6 adults plus luggage, and we were too check to upgrade to a big SUV.
It was actually quite amazing. It was like two different vehicles depending on where you were sitting. From the drivers seat it felt

Observer: Damn, I don’t think new Lambos could be any uglier

I bought a new(er) car to replace my classy AF 1991 BMW 535i. And I let it sit for a bit, maybe a month or two, before trying to put it up for sale. I was just being lazy and enjoying the new ride.

And also because science reasons, since liquid gasoline doesn’t burn, just the vapor.

I discovered that only 1 barrel of the carb was being used primarily on my 1977 Corolla. So obviously, if I could make both butterflies open all the time then it would make MORE POWER!

If you want the “average” person to trust the inspector, to believe that they aren’t getting ripped off, then you have to divorce the inspection process from the repair process.
If the inspector doesn’t stand to profit from making the repair list longer, then I would think the “average” person could believe that the
