A fair point. I actually read Gibson and Stephenson a long time before I watched/read anything related to the franchise and didn’t realize they were contemporary.

It’s more to me that representation is important but like, this is going to be a bad movie, guys. The Ghost in the Shell franchise is arguably not that good (I know, I know, fight me) and its a re-tread of the same cyberpunk themes that have been floating around since Gibson and Stephenson.

There’s a lot of unknown long terms medically, there. A friend’s kid is probably trans but they’re in the middle of puberty and their brain chemistry isn’t yet fully baked, etc. etc. and the medical staff working with the kid and their parent are all saying that they don’t think its a good idea to start hormone…

But by that same token, if she truly has no control over how she looks then why is attacking her for it a valid option? If she was ugly, would this matter? Or would the comments just be that because she was born ugly, she has no right to comment?

I’m not new at all by many years but I don’t generally read Dirt Bag with any regularity and I’m an old who doesn’t listen to Top 40 pop music so most everyone in that category is met with: WHO.

You make a good point.  There is still the last option of the courts in terms of settling where or not they violated ethics.  I know this is all pulling at threads but I just want this assholes to pay.  

He is at least violating his own code of ethics which his licensing body requires him to follow. So he may not be in violation of a law but he could still have his license suspended or permanently yanked.   If there’s any justice in the world, it will be.

Luckily state laws do not shield them from examination from their own licensing board of ethical breeches in professional conduct or standard of care.  The law shields them from certain criminal penalties but it doesn’t actually shield them from being kicked out of the profession. 

Or have your ability to be a pharmacists taken from you permanently from the association the board that grants your license.

This victory lap is because the Republican Establishment is behind closed doors squirming around and screaming ‘what the everloving fuck?’ at the President and Sessions because otherwise it was going to take the midterms outback and shoot it in the face in the rain.
