@Clint Coady: My thoughts exactly. I'm still looking for something to draw my eyes away from the XOOM. I was thinking that this might be that tablet, but the resolution is sort of a bummer.

I know that Airbender got an ensemble nomination, but I really think that Dev Patel had one of the least terrible performances in that movie. The kids who played Sokka and Katara were especially dreadful and more deserving. The actors in that movie should have gotten nominated for every acting category.

@Kevin Flynn: Damn, I know what you mean. I find art like this so evocative. It's too bad that we won't approach anything even remotely like this in my lifetime.

@GodofMonkeys: Although I think the whole Alien thing has been beaten to death, I was slightly intrigued by the notion of Ridley Scott making the prequel and Noomi Rapace staring. Of course, that means (for me anyway) that I'm much more excited about this film now that it no longer has any attachment to the Alien

I'll buy one!

Is Ronald Moore producing it? I'm guessing he's too busy with his Harry Potter project, but I figured I'd ask.

Awesome. It's like Heavy Metal space opera gone retro. I only wish they came larger.

The main reason why I purchased a MacBook over the other available laptops was the power cord... specifically the magnetic power jack. Both of my previous two laptops had broken after someone had tripped over the cord.

I heard about this on NPR last night. They brought on a detractor, who suggested that it might also be just a clever way to camouflage the eggs... hence the requirement that the plastic be white. Of course, that doesn't explain why the younger and older birds shun any use of plastic.

Big Ebert fan here. I think he's become one of the most important voices on the internet during the past few years, and I hope his new show is a success.

I can't help but wonder if the aversion to the recent X-Men picts is (at least in part) more of a general aversion to the tacky styles of the 1960s.

@Norbs: Oh, and I mean to put quotes around "heat-sync".

@Norbs: I can't tell if this is a pro- or anti-Android troll. On one hand, he's expressing a desire to run Android on his iPhone. On the other, he's suggesting that Android needs more RAM and a heat-sync.

@Tyrunn: Are you kidding? It's not possible to just get the original trilogy? That's crazy. Is there anyone out there who even wants the prequel trilogy?

Holy...... this is unexpected. Hopefully Giz is on the case, and we'll be hearing the juicy details soon.

Were the wolves starving? If not, they probably wouldn't have attacked anyway. I sincerely doubt Creed from a cellphone speaker really did that much.

@RDRR: We would only be porting a single number (hers) into (my) Google Voice. Right now, we both have Google Voice accounts, but she doesn't use hers, so we won't need to port it over.

Good, but I'm not really interested in any phone that isn't running at least 2.3. In fact, I've been waiting around for my perfect phone for so long that I'll probably just hold on until Honeycomb phones start coming out and reevaluate the situation then.

This is great news for my wife and I. We've been planning on consolidating to a single cellphone now that our contracts are up, but we don't want to lose either of our numbers. This sounds like a (near) perfect solution.
