A Triple Shy of the Cycle

Yep, I saw so much “WELL WHAT HE MEANT WAS...” explaining how he’s some super genius who actually knows more than the doctors. It’s like when your friends have a toddler and he mumbles incoherently and his parents are like, “he wants chicken nuggets and to go to the park”

She was older than me by about 20 years and always kind of treated me with disdain. We never once chatted or talked at length. I lived alone in a studio and rarely had people over so I don’t know what the problem was, but I think she treated. most people that way.

Not only that, my grandmother was in one and they are EXPENSIVE.  Any halfway decent one that isn’t hard to walk into is going to cost more than most people can afford.

You absolutely cannot know unless you’ve been there.

How do you know he didnt?

Yep. Reading this story didn’t make me enraged, it made me very sad. And it reminded me of my grandparents.

I love re-watching The Office and Parks & Rec over and over. I’ve also decided that Leslie/Ben is wayyyy better than Jim/Pam

Every conversation with my aunt. I deleted facebook several years ago because my facebook made her think we were close, even though we literally only spoke at Christmas.

Why don’t these people go teach at majority white schools? They are all over the place.

SAME! I have so many made-up scenarios and I go back to old favorites when I’m stressed out.

Oh, yeah, I was always impressed with the kids who got to watch Disney shows on cable. Mickey Mouse Club? What, are you a billionaire?

Have you seen those tweet threads about “what did you think was considered ‘rich’ when you were a kid?” and people say ice makers in the fridge or having two cars or whatever? I thought rich people ate EVERYTHING with a knife and fork, pizza included.

I’m in Baltimore. They don’t always have to “pass the sniff test” for families. Sometimes they are tattoos given by random people in the neighborhood with tattoo guns (or whatever they’re called). They don’t get parental permission. Some of my students would go to “tattoo parties” at someone’s house over the weekend.

so then...you don’t get it?

Wait, are the driving around shooters different from the Home Depot shooter?

If you can get to NYC to see “Ain’t Too Proud” you should do it because the guy who plays David Ruffin, Ephraim Sykes, IS AMAZINGGGGGG

I was just reading a thread on twitter about how forensic science is basically just guessing! Does anybody know of any books or podcasts or anything about that subject?

How terrifying! It reminds of jobs I’ve been in with huge amounts of ass-kissing..it makes you feel crazy.  I can’t imagine what it does to people’s mental health when it is intentionally done by the company.

they are DIFFERENT and SPECIAL and UNIQUE and you just wouldn’t UNDERSTAND.
