I love to drive it, but hate to own it.

  1. Take the money and get it fixed.

They would need a hell of a lot more than $290M to pull that off.

See, but you thought about the crooked etching, then thought about precision. That means the slogan is working.

Lolz at people who think $290 million is enough to upgrade a plant to handle two completely separate chassis. They have clearly never seen a factory cost analysis for a re-tool, let alone a complete restructuring.

Condom of cars?

This article is so chock full of Englishness that I feel compelled to throw tea into a harbor

oh boy, more speed holes, a lighter weight fart can and moar “aero” doodads. this is the chavviest chavmobile that is not a classic Ferrari painted white by chris evans
this car is an affront to everything the E-Type represented.

4lbs quote was for engine “Core” which also sounds like the 4lbs is only the block (or whatever they want to call it) and not the complete setup. Also showed a lot of aluminum parts that might only be for testing and didn’t show any type of throttling or prove in anyway that you wouldn’t need to add weight to cool it

Looks good. Would look much better if it wasn’t a 2+2.

Au Contraire my blessed by nature freind, Google Scarab Z, SBCs and 240zs go together like Oreos and milk.

Y tho?
283 then put a bunch of work into it? Start with a 350 and get more for less.
3 speed? Sure, I don’t plan on going over 60 mph.
What you got here is a box of parts someone threw together into a sputtering mess. $500 for the engine + trans, and $750 for the rolling shell = $1,250 is fair.

Let me get this straight.

Problem is the energy density of the fuel required to power it. That electric motor requires batteries that are going to have an energy density of 0.5-1.5MJ/kg. Diesel fuel has an energy density of about 45MJ/kg. So you might be getting the same hp output out of half the weight, but you’re also carrying 30x as much

2+2=CP. Always.

If only this customer preference influence would work to get rid of the middle seats on airplanes.

So, we have a video from the Middle East, and you use “Hold My Beer” in the headline...

And when a project like this went for $5000

I remember when you could buy a whole one of these for under $20k. Sad times we live in. :’(

I had a ‘90 Mustang LX 5.0, and thought that Saleen was charging a ridiculous amount of money for a relatively modest gain...
