They don't seem to go back and forth in a complex multidimensional way, but rather as needed to fit that episode's storyline.

God, I really hope this means they don't kill Charlie. I mean, they probably won't because the fandom would rebel because everyone love Felicia Day (myself included), but you never know. I love Charlie to pieces.

OMG, Merritt Weaver. I swear she's the reason I got sucked into Nurse Jackie in the first place.

I don't remember specifics at this point, just a major sense of frustration and eye-rolling. I get that it's based on fairytales, which often have really problematic portrayals of adoptees, but one of the main plot points is about the main kid, Henry, being adopted by Regina (the evil queen).

God, yes. Starbuck was beautifully flawed and fucked up and amazing.

Don't underestimate the power of your gif choice to amplify the creepy/unbalanced factor.

I tried so hard to like that show for so many reasons, but I finally gave up after one and a half seasons. I just can't handle the terrible, terrible writing (though the actors do as good a job as they can with it). And also, the adoptee story line just pissed me off—that was actually my breaking point.

Nature is brutal, dude.

dammit, I don't know why the pretty picture isn't working.

What?! I love the Steller's jay!

Now playing

Aww, Flea! I've had a soft spot for him ever since that ADORABLE song "Pea."

wha?! I can understand avoiding Game of Thrones posts, but Arrested Development is HIGH-FRICKIN'-LARIOUS! I recommend Netflixing it stat.

That was the best short film I've seen in a while. I especially love the way the creepy man says "sensible children" in the most contemptuous way possible.

I had a problem with the rapey-ness; I skipped the first half of the first season, and I think that helped. But there is still some rape, and there are threats of rape, and there is a fair amount of explicit torture. And also some racist depictions of people.

Oh my.

I am having so many ambivalent feeeeelings about this show.

No, I really do love it. It's pretty great as a descriptor of an action rather than a commentary on the sexual identity of the people involved.

PIA! YES! I LIKE THAT, TOO!

Seriously. We need to find out more about that necklace.
