You’re specifically calling out the Tesla for cheapening the interior more than the rest of the industry, based on nothing but photos showing fewer physical interfaces. You’re the one making the leap.

That’s all really interesting but it’s not really a useful answer to the question. “No huge complaints about batteries” is toothless, especially for the cheap and cheerful Prius hybrid. Most of those millions don’t plug in and use gasoline.
Yes, based on nothing but a couple of preproduction photos of the design and Pure F. Speculation.
Okay. As long as they stick to out-of-state plates and underpants, I guess.
You’re not a 16-year-old running drugs, are you? I didn’t ask if it was reasonable to expect you to know.
The range drops as the batteries age, don’t they? How much range are you willing to have lost by the 9th year?
There’s a big gap between the Model S and its German counterparts and those buyers don’t seem to mind. I don’t think the Model 3 interior needs to be on par with the Germans in order to compete. It just needs to not feel cheaper than the non-luxury midsize sedans. Don’t forget electrics are inherently quiet, and quiet…
Just Texas.
Is it reasonable to expect him to know how toxic it is?
My brain is slow today. Why do the plates vanish in the first place?
When we see an out-of-state plate here in California, we know it means somebody moved here and is ducking California registration as long as possible.
Put a handle on it next time. And I know you’re super-proud of it, but maybe wipe off the jizz too.
We already get a ton of parts from Chinese suppliers. Automakers are still in denial about how much of their IP gets lifted from their partnerships and are still growing their vehicle sales in China. So they’re nowhere near upset enough about that 25% tariff to risk talking about a quid pro quo. Gov Potion #45 could…
Lots of people put down deposits, but it’s easy to put down a refundable deposit on a car that won’t start shipping for more than a year. (Interest rates being what they’ve been, it didn’t hurt much to park a grand for a car that seemed almost too good to be true.)
Most people are still impressed by any new car pushing forty grand, which is where most real Model 3s will be.
Apartments probably aren’t going to see charging infrastructure in any useful amount for a while, and if they did, you’d be paying extra for the privilege, probably enough to eat up most of the fuel savings.
You’re right, but the Model 3 doesn’t have to be hugely popular and desired by the mainstream public for it to be a success for Tesla. I think it strikes the right balance between “Electric and Proud” and “Suitable for Polite Company” to take battery-powered cars the next big step towards ordinary transportation.
If you don’t like the snarky repartee, you can just ignore it. No need for the butthurt.
Cesar Chavez could only do so much.
