My brain is slow today. Why do the plates vanish in the first place?

When we see an out-of-state plate here in California, we know it means somebody moved here and is ducking California registration as long as possible.
Put a handle on it next time. And I know you’re super-proud of it, but maybe wipe off the jizz too.
We already get a ton of parts from Chinese suppliers. Automakers are still in denial about how much of their IP gets lifted from their partnerships and are still growing their vehicle sales in China. So they’re nowhere near upset enough about that 25% tariff to risk talking about a quid pro quo. Gov Potion #45 could…
Lots of people put down deposits, but it’s easy to put down a refundable deposit on a car that won’t start shipping for more than a year. (Interest rates being what they’ve been, it didn’t hurt much to park a grand for a car that seemed almost too good to be true.)
Most people are still impressed by any new car pushing forty grand, which is where most real Model 3s will be.
Apartments probably aren’t going to see charging infrastructure in any useful amount for a while, and if they did, you’d be paying extra for the privilege, probably enough to eat up most of the fuel savings.
You’re right, but the Model 3 doesn’t have to be hugely popular and desired by the mainstream public for it to be a success for Tesla. I think it strikes the right balance between “Electric and Proud” and “Suitable for Polite Company” to take battery-powered cars the next big step towards ordinary transportation.

Satisfying your richest customers, who may include gentlemen racers that intend to track the factory race-prepped car and are multiple zeroes removed from ever crossing paths with you or your poseur label, while building company morale, getting write-ups to maintain fanboy fervor, and making a profit is hardly an…
The article isn’t about ambiguous language, it’s about redundant language.
EVERYONE who I’ve watched the trailer with has said, “For God’s sake, please don’t overdo it with this...”
BMW fans don’t want the best car for the money. They want the best BMW.
BMW fans don’t want a Camaro or Viper instead. They want a BMW.
It can, but it doesn’t. You can infer that, but that’s stupid.
The reason to use “rate of speed” instead of merely “speed” is then you can abbreviate it to “RoS,” or “HRoS” or “HRS” for “high rate of speed.”
It’s not that we’re better than this.
