Lincoln is thought to have gotten the phrase from a book of sermons by Theodore Parker, worded: “Democracy is direct self-government over all the people, for all the people, by all the people.” It was from this that I formed my response.
Well, if we’re going to nitpick, then it’s government of the people (the governed), by the employees (the governing), for the wealthy (the beneficiaries, whether humans or corporations). And don’t for a hot second think of suggesting that the politicians aren’t employees of the wealthy.
They already have a pretty good understanding of those groups. What they’re trying to do here is really understand the ideology that turns harmless people into super-troublesome anti-corporate protesters, so that they can more precisely target such people with surveillance and dissuasive measures before they show up…

Especially facts about 45 drinkers. Their drunken dickswinging is dangerous.
Any poll that doesn’t subdivide its results basedon whether or not the respondent voted for Trump, or at least by Party affiliation, is giving us murky crap.
Enough time has passed that this may simply be the new guard at Fox not being touchy when asked a question about Firefly, and not a calculated move.
Doesn’t matter if they don’t have the numbers. Doesn’t matter if it doesn’t go anywhere. What matters is being relentless. How many times did the Republicans vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act under the previous administration? How many days did they refuse to consider a SCOTUS nomination? The Democrats need to be…
Campaign ads ought to get a whole lot nastier than that.
Like when they go low we go high?
Maybe this is what he meant when he said we’d be winning so much we’d get tired of winning and tell him it was too much winning.
All excellent reasons. Still, aren’t the rest of us happier if she stays hidden away from the world in Trump Tower as much as possible? Especially if that denies 45 the benefits of having a trophy wife?
Golden Corral...
Why should she suffer?
The audience is not infinite.
Oh dear, I do believe the rambunctious children have absconded with the lady’s skirt.
