HELL NO. If it doesn’t matter which way you vote, then let history know you opposed it. Honestly, what is the benefit of voting yes? The Republicans have amply demonstrated that they don’t reciprocate or even play fair anymore, so TO HELL WITH THEM.

The Republicans and the Democrats are not equals in opposition. The Republicans held Congress over the Obama administration; the Democrats did not and do not hold Congress today.

And then another evil asshat marshaled the pro-Empire forces, built an even more powerful machine, and obliterated the Republic.

California can bring a shitstorm of lawsuits, but not much else. National politicians are hardly imperiled. This is the unfortunate reality.

Try not to think about how that movie ended, and how that story is going.

In 2018, the GOP could win/steal control of a couple more state legislatures, at which point they’d have the 38 needed to ratify Amendments.

45 could decide that the Supreme Court is so busy with all of the bullshit GOP legislators and 45 himself are hocking up, it needs more members.

It’s technically still a Republic, until those fuckers codify baldfaced voting restrictions that get the stamp of approval from the Supreme Court. Stay tuned.

Lawsuits will no doubt fly when that motherfucker tries it.

How was anyone supposed to effectively call them out on it? It’s not as if nobody said anything. The President came right out and said he expected them to do their jobs. It was well-covered by the press. The commentariat here was apoplectic. Was someone supposed to sue the Republican legislators blocking the vote? On…

The last time there was a generational change in the Democrats in Congress was in the wake of Nixon, and we threw out the anti-monopoly baby with the bath water.
