Would you want to be unable to get a cake, or have to travel further or pay more or get a lower quality cake, because multiple bakeries in your state refused to sell you one based on the color of your skin? What if it’s not cake but a place to live?

Donald Trump is not a member of a disadvantaged class. He is arguably becoming the most powerful man on the planet. He has bragged about negotiating his right to go backstage at beauty pageants to leer at contestants while they dress. He has bragged about grabbing women by the pussy to express sexual interest. His own…
Dancers are not declining to perform based on Donald Trump’s gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation. That’s why the aigdrone’s precious cake baker is not relevant here.
It’s a false equivalency because white nationalists, misogynists, and sexual assailants are not protected classes.
I’m guessing they add the motor and batteries of the Fusion Hybrid (or the next gen of it) to an Atkinson’d N/A V6. That will keep costs down while adding enough power to claim close-to-V8 performance and much better city fuel economy.
The V6 makes a lot of sense. It’s cheaper and simpler than the EcoBoost 2.3L I4, and it benefits more from the addition of electric torque. They could use the same 88kW motor as the Fusion (or more likely whatever the next gen of that system is) to get close to V8 hp & torque without a ton of expense.
Probably not stubborn so much as resource-constrained. And lately production-constrained so there’s not a lot of incentive to make big leaps forward.
I haven’t read the novel. I know, I’m a terrible person — but I don’t want it spoiled now. And since you haven’t yet finished (have you?) I don’t want to spoil anything for you. My memory is already fuzzy on details. Feel free to reply when you’ve finished.
The films prove that something else exists; I think it became more important to keep that secret than to try to glean more from those films.
1/10. Troll harder.
You misunderstand. It’s not about the characters, it’s about the audience.
They have to show how awful the war of ordinary men was so that the devastation of Metropolis by supermen seems like an improvement.
How does it drum up ratings? People tuning in to next year’s broadcast to see what goes wrong?
Ohh, you believe that cars are only bought by people who have long trips to the grocery store! Hahaha WTF, are you nine? 2/10. Troll harder. Seriously though, this article was thoroughly dismembered and forgotten a couple months ago.
I love Stallone’s Get Carter. It tries so hard, with post-Grunge Pacific Northwest style troweled over everything. The desaturated shot-on-Tungsten look, the film-damage-denotes-emotional-damage editing effects, the electronica soundtrack topped by a reworking of Roy Budd’s brilliant original theme... Rachael Leigh…
A news magazine or traditional newspaper will probably cover it. As long as they still attract a very profitable ad demographic and/or have a sufficient stable subscriber base to support doing so.
And more secrets.
I kept reading the headline and the opening paragraph looking for the name of the person or agency the Barenaked Ladies fired.
That statistic may be misleading. Does VW outsource to the same extent as GM and Toyota?
Give them a parachute and a Greyhound timetable.
