This is not a social justice issue. It’s economics plain and simple. They’re already made to wider audiences than befit sales — they’re not getting more and more scarce because they sell well and justify the investment.

Just eleven days after American White Men’s Day?
“...but taller.”
If you’re asking for them to order something that they basically can’t sell to anyone else, you have to be able to convince them that you’re serious. If you started the conversation with “do you have a manual on the lot? Because I really need to be able to test drive one before I make my decision” then you’re probably…
You should have to step into that category, if that’s the lowest level at which manufacturers feel it’s worth their while to make it fit, make it satisfying to drive (or manual lovers won’t buy it), validate its crash performance, validate its fuel economy, integrate it with their JIT assembly-line process, make sure…
You do realize that’s probably the last new manual sedan you’ll own, don’t you?
You’re not in a high enough income bracket to get a fast manual sedan anymore. Gotta reach for a Chevrolet SS or a BMW 3-series.
If you live in a competitive market, dealers will happily do custom orders.
The point of the COTD is that many marques don’t even try. They only ever put the manual transmission on the weakest engine in the cheapest trim. They’re chasing the people that have always bought manual transmissions because they’re cheaper and get better gas mileage. Why chase those low-margin buyers at all? Chase…
I don’t know. Not to be excessively morbid, but to me it feels like our shitty uncle told a crime boss about the evidence Mom found that could put the crime boss away. So he had a hit man kill Mom, framed Dad for it, bribed our shitty uncle to lock us in the basement, and threatened us to keep our fucking mouths shut…
President Obama is doing his best to talk us back off the ledge.
Beautiful wit applied to tribulating effect.
How strong is the evidence of these thefts? What was the nature of the thefts?
This kind of grab predates Trump’s run for President. Some states have been under the yoke of moral conservatives for a long time. And will continue to be after Trump himself is gone.
You know what? I’ve bought nothing but manual transmission cars, and new as soon as I could afford it, each going on to someone else with plenty of life left in them.
Because if you don’t buy a new manual transmission now, you won’t be able to buy a manual transmission in the future.
It’s just because they don’t know, because it hasn’t been investigated enough.
Mike Pence.
I think it would be unwise to challenge Trump’s legitimacy. To many Americans it would look like a coup, and at this point I think that does more damage than the very real possibility that a foreign power actively engaged in political subterfuge and a propaganda campaign to affect our Presidential election.
As awful as a Trump Presidency is, I have zero faith that the House would not make a worse choice. As dangerous as Trump is, there’s some hope that he’s not a party line Republican on everything.
