There’s a moment when Vision questions Virginia about how it felt to be stabbed by Grim Reaper that reads like he’s quizzing her. I’m guessing her entirely unconvincing agreement that it feels like buzzing is her failing the quiz, so everything Vision does after he does knowing Virginia is lying.
