Brings a whole new meaning to the hamster car
I would agree with the sentiment, but if chase wants to structure their used car loan in a way that 3 year loans have much higher rate than 6 year loan, (I did some math, and basically they want a flat fee for the car loan, and the amount of interest paid is the same for the two) you’d bet I’ll go with 6 year loan
Electric cars have regen which work best under low speed start/stop where regen is the most effective. Highway speed with no start stop takes the most efficient part of these drive train and makes a torture test out of the battery
How dare you suggest that dick pills aren't uniquely an American Institution??
I disagree with the target market. The target market for the CTR isn’t kids in their 20's. Not many kids can afford 35K (realistically mid 40's with dealer markups still), and even if they could, they don’t really have the desire for a Civic - they’d rather have the Tesla Model 3.
The real target market is for the…
To all the people that think 7:29.9 is slow, the 2017 NSX did it in 7:36. This car that costs a third of the NSX is faster around the ring
Yea, and Honda is a mobility company that makes Cars, Motorcycles, ATV, Lawnmowers and Jets and you don’t see their stonks (not a typo there) surge 400% in 6 months on nothing.
Sure Tesla opened a China plant - as Chinese car sales are dropping. And yet their stock doubles overnight.
Everyone shit talks Kia and Hyundai resale value, but they don’t realize how bad RLX resale value is
I’m pretty sure we don’t know Bugatti owners aren’t insufferable as well because no one’s seen a Bugatti in the wild
From the title - I didn’t know i can focus on increasing my income and it’d go up.
Funny how you have the gmg union profile pic, but also mention that automakers “would do well” to address their obligations like pensions. I assume that you want them to tell their employees to suck it and go pound sand?
BEVs are HEAVY. Look at Kia Niro/Soul EV, Chevy Bolt. They have 200+ hp and torque up the wazoo for an economy car but are no where near “fast”
150hp on a BEV is inadaquate
Yup. GM buysc for 1 billion. Less than a year later Honda pays GM 2+billion for a minority shares of it. GM is laughing all the way to the bank
Just occurred to me that maybe it’s not a sound business strategy driven decision but more of vanity project.
Honda sells business jets. Toyota wants to one-up them.
Lol. I figured you were leading to something more menacing... GRU is also the acronym for Russian military intelligence agency, which was formerly known as the KGB
Lexus is probably fine. They’re “top tier” luxury. Acura and Infiniti will need to watch their backs though.
big ass-bomb?

Needs vs wants.
If cars became less of necessity, and more about wants, then we’d see more efforts put into cars that cater to wants (sport cars) vs needs (cuvs).
Honda is living off a reputation it built 30 years ago - their reliability is probably one of the worst currently. So much so that there’s an article that dives into the quality crisis at Honda and how it’s so bad that the profit margin at Honda’s been squeezed to death.
The 1.5T, and the 2.0T engine has the oil…
