I agree. This could have been planned all along. With Mac OS X the updates came thick and fast. And then the bigger updates (10.4) took longer to arrive. Obviously 10.5 is a bit of a special case (because of iPhone) but they definitely have slowed the cycles down from 12 months to nearer 18 months.
