@kellanpan: They both have their strength and if you are used to Eclipse then it will serve you well.

@BlastThemFools: Apple first called them applications (as in practical application of a technology) with the Mac.

@markoi: Songbird is a reasonable effort, but iTunes is more professionally designed and far more popular in terms of usage.

@vagabond_king: I'm not trying to have an unnecessary dig at desktop Linux here, but to me it seems ridiculous that you need to wait for OS maintainers to make tweaks in order to use the latest version of important software like a browser. I guess that's the nature of the beast.

@vagabond_king: Surely you should be able to upgrade a browser without needing to upgrade the OS?

Printing looks like a bag of hurt from that demo.

@jncarlos: No problem, I agree completely with you that "nothing in this world is free" and I believe I made a similar point in my previous post.

@kthe23rd: I know they don't have an option not to charge for CUPS BUT they still choose invest time and money in the project.

@musiqrulez: iTunes is free. Safari is free. The Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) is free. All of those things come from Apple.

@Jared M Zimmerman: Exactly, it is a good way to stop motorists concentrating who/what is crossing and instead concentrate on the timer.

@Ridley: "iPad is dissenting"

@bedhead75: To address the second point I'm Pretty sure the iPad charges on most USB ports. There were some issues from memory with some ports not supplying enough power to charge it. I believe this was Apple's fault.

If you are looking for a Safari 5 alternative, ultimatestatusbar does the same.

Is it just a coincidence that a lot of Palm staff used to work at Apple.

@m.capobianco: Do you have any customisations? Command + click will always show in Finder.

@koxoxok: Fadel shopped the iPod idea around and eventually it was picked up by Apple:

Yes, it is ancient. I have been using it for many years.
