fine young men

I know there is no "good" time to let someone go but coordinating it in this way just feels wrong.

And that's precisely what infuriates me about this whole damn thing. My mother works for child protective services in West Virginia and it's a goddamn nightmare. Every day of her life is filled with starving, abused/neglected children and most of them end up in group homes because nobody fucking wants them. All the

this is... perhaps the smarmiest face ever?

I've not actually READ these books, too many bad reviews for this romance novel lover... but he seriously goes to a hardware store and buys rope IN THE NOVEL?! Hilarious.

Kurcaba issued a statement saying he's sorry "to anyone who took my comments about the sanctity of human life to mean anything other than that all children are precious regardless of circumstances."

good time to plug the devastatingly gorgeous (and super bdsm friendly) rope of erin houdini. people, treat yourself to the good stuff.

I was hoping the memo read:

um omg not a BDSM expert over here, but maybe DON'T BUY YOUR ROPE AT B&Q?!?!?!

1. Beyonce was probably the best album of last year and Beck winning the Grammy was probably another example in the long line of examples of the old dopes running the Grammys being old dopes.

At what point does Kim start getting seriously offended by Kanye's raging hard-on for Beyonce?

This shit cannot be said enough:

The stages this went through, too. First the parent came up with it, presumably while tanked with her sister. Then maybe the presented to grandma, who was like SOLID IDEA LADIES. AND THEN they went to a co-worker who ALSO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA.

These fucking people. The overwhelming majority of kids who go missing are abducted by family members, particularly non-custodial parents. But great job steering into the skid on those stats and teaching your kid that they can't trust anyone, especially the people they are supposed to be able to trust the most.

And the lesson the poor kid actually learned was that he can trust strangers more than his own family.

This story proves: It isn't strangers you should be afraid of.

Or, "there is no evidence of rape!" As a lawyer this boggles the mind. Testimony is evidence. If she testifies that he did it, that's evidence. Just like if he testifies he didn't, that is also evidence. What people are really saying is that men are more trustworthy than women, at all times.

That's a really interesting point, I hadn't thought about it in quite that way before.

I love how people automatically question every rape accuser but the word of the rapist is somehow taken as fact? It just baffles me. He said he didn't do it! All of these people who claim they were raped by this person must be lying!

I'm just going by my own experience, but having a ~real live rapist~ in the family (grandfather) sure does seem to make a lot of people (grandmother, uncle) want to pretend that all raped women are liars (mother, aunt). These people make me sick.

I'm mostly convinced that Madonna actually died years ago and her corpse is now animated by a evil spirit that feeds off the discomfort of the living.
